Biography

I offer specialist (oncology) nursing experience in various contexts including clinical, management and education. I continually work at improving my practice to support patients and the wider healthcare team and evolve my role to meet international clinical standards in oncology nursing. Testament to this commitment is my participation in courses, conferences, studies and research work. This experience is local, national and international.My current role is as an oncology nurse practitioner is to be a central contact point for patients (adjuvant and metastatic patients), doctors, staff, allied health and family members to ensure timely, coordinated care. I offer information and provide education regarding diagnosis, treatment and side effect management to patients in particular, including follow-up support. Two important roles are that of triaging unwell patients and ensuring that effective allied health needs are met in a timely fashion. My goal is to provide individualised care.
